The final funeral rites of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s aide, Kwabena Boadu who died a few days going into the 2016 elections will be on Saturday.
In the build up to the day, Dr Bawumia in a video on his Facebook page has confessed he is still struggling to come to terms with the death of his press aide.
“It’s very difficult to talk about Kwabena Boadu in the past tense… because it’s a situation that I’m still trying to come to terms with,” Dr Bawumia sobbed in a short video dubbed #KwabenaOurHero in memory of the 30-year-old.
According to him, his relationship with the late Boadu went beyond a boss and a subordinate because they gelled as confidantes.
“Kwabena Boadu was a colleague. He came to work as my press aide, he became a friend, a confidante and a younger brother and we drew closer and closer through the years. He was so instrumental in a lot of the things I did. He is a sharp-minded person and brilliant,” the former deputy governor of the Bank of Ghana stressed.
