Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Koku Anyidoho has been arrested by the police following his claim that president Nana Akufo-Addo will be overthrown by Coup d’tat.
The outspoken NDC politician posited on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben Show on Monday, March 26, that the president Akufo-Addo will be ousted by Coup d’tat just like his father and K.A Busia after agreeing to a military pact with the United States of America.
Reports reaching HappyGhana.com indicate that, the burly politician was picked up at the Accra International Press Center by plain-clothed officers. The NDC was having a press conference to react to the controversial Ghana-US Military Cooperation agreement when the arrest was done.
The reports further suggest that, he’s been taken to the Police Headquarters. About 16 officers besieged the press center to effect the arrest.
Anyidoho was seen seated at the back of a vehicle flanked by the NDC National Chairman Kofi Portuphy and the General Secretary and were driven to the police Headquarters.
