Ghana Movie Industry is faced with a very serious challenge and has made most of the actors and actress redundant.
The movie industry in Ghana is divided into two groups by language which is the English speaking movies which are called Ghallywood and Twi speaking is also known as Kumawood have been hit by a meltdown.
Even though there are time these two group have come together to put out some movies, it has not really affected the industry positively.
On eTV’s award-winning entertainment show The Late Nite Celebrity Show, Simon Peacemaker revealed the hard truth about Ghana Movie industry.
Peacemaker Simon who is Nigerian Movie Director said that the Ghana movie Industry is full of a bunch of armatures.
“Ghana has a future but people are not taking the industry serious, I think there are probably a bunch of armatures in the industry.” He said.
He gave an example of how Ghanaian actors behave that has contributed to the downward growth of the industry.
“You don’t come on to set and you fail to inform the team when I see you the set the following day I will leave which means you are fired. I don’t understand why you will not even send an SMS to inform about your absence. Something like this in Nigerian can never happen.”
“This is what I tell my crew members, this is what I feed my family with so I have to take it so serious.” he added
