The yet-to-be-released Ghanaian movie “Azali,” Ama K’s first movie after rumors of her becoming a mother has apparently been receiving endorsements before it hits the big screens in Ghana.
Professor Eric Sample of Champlain College in the United States of America who is one of the endorsers has described the yet-to-be-released movie as an Academy Award-winning film.
The professor, who is also a filmmaker, made the comments after he sat down with Dr. Francis Gbormittah of Theatre Studies, University of Ghana, to assess the movie.
“I think it’s like Academy Award-winning international current film festival level material,” he said.
On the other hand, he advised the filmmakers to stiffen the edits during the climactic moments of the movie, implement a different approach to the colorization and re-score certain portions of the film.
Azali’ is produced by Anase Entertainment, directed by Kwabena Gyansah and stars Asana Alhassan, Adjetey Anang, Peter Richie, Akorfa Asiedu, Emmanuel Nii Quaye(Stricker), Mohammed Halfix and others.
