The controversial Reggae artist and radio presenter Black Rasta had a deep food for thought for Ghanaians.
The ‘Serwaa Akoto’ hitmaker on eTV’s entertainment show ‘The Late Night Celebrity Show’ stated: “in our society what we refuse is what we should actually use”. This was in response to why reggae music is not held up high in Ghana.
Explaining his expression Black Rasta said “If you see things a lot of people are running to, they are the most things that are useless and will not help us that is the truth.
“When you look at the gates of heaven and hell, you will see a lot of people running towards the gates of hell because the so-called enjoyment is there.
“Reggae Music will not allow you to do that, it is music that preaches to you, how many people would like to sit and be in that conscious mode and listen to reggae music preach and teach them.
“People see music as enjoyable as long as it is not making them move their feet and engage in social vices then there is a problem.
Black Rasta believe that reggae music is been accepted in Ghana and as long as he is alive Ghana Reggae music is a life.
