The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has pronounced Freddy Blay as the winner of the party’s chairmanship position during the just ended delegate’s conference at Koforidua, Eastern Region.
NPP’s 26th National Delegates Conference was organized to elect its leaders who will take up the mantle by their predecessors.
Freddy Blay beat the likes of Stephen Ntim and Dr. Richard Amoako Baah to win the NPP Chairman position.
Mr. Blay was announced winners after polling 3,021 votes while Stephen Ntim and Dr Richard Amoako Baah polled 2,515 and 18 respectively.
Freddy Blay was accused of buying votes by providing 275 buses to every NPP Constituency, but his spokesperson denies such allegations. He was also accused of allegedly bribing the delegates with huge sums of money.
