Okomfour Kwadee who’s currently in a psychiatric hospital amidst mental illness has made known his plans to produce drug abuse oriented songs.
“When I come back, the message is going to be more about the youth and how to come out of all these drugs abuse and street kind of life.”
The Ghanaian rapper, born Jerry Anaba, made this statement when a delegation from the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) paid him a surprise visit at “The Willing Ways Foundation” rehabilitation Centre at Kwamo in the Ashanti Region.
The visit by MUSIGA was lead by Das Celeb Appiah Levi, the chairman of the Accra wing of the of the UNION. The delegation donated packs of sachet water, drinks and an undisclosed amount of money to “mentally unstable” Okomfour Kwadee.
Kwadee took advantage of the opportunity to ask the president Nana Akufo-Addo to improve the state of mental health facilities in the country
He said “On behalf of all the people here, I plead with our leaders especially the President and all the chiefs to help create awareness for people who bring persons with mental problems to these centres to stop neglecting them. We should all pay attention to such people and let them feel apart of society,” he said.
