Skillgator International, an educational organization with a focus on empowering the youth by helping them enhance their skills and competencies for the current job market has expressed its intention to offer Ghanaians a three-month skill training on entrepreneurship and digital media.
The training which will focus on women is to encourage more Ghanaian women to acquire more knowledge in the use of ICT. It will train women entrepreneurs on digital literacy skills that will help them grow a sustainable business.
According to the Training Coordinator at SkillGator, Ms Jessica Robertson, “Statistical evidence has shown that in most African countries, women’s use and knowledge of ICT is lower than that of their male counterparts. Thereby, denying them of income generating opportunities and the chance to build their networks”.
