We reported earlier that Rex Omar who happens to be the Chairman of Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has stated categorically that 90% of Ghanaian artistes are hyped but damn broke in reality.
According to Rex Omar in the said publication, the creative arts businesses especially music is not booming off late as speculated, therefore, he’ll never allow his children to do music basically for a living.
Fast forward, musician King Promise has responded to the financial state of Ghanaian artistes put forward by Rex Omar. King Promise in an interview described the assertion of Rex Omar as vague and he doesn’t know how he arrived at that percentage (90%) citing his financial state a case study.
“I don’t know where Rex Omar got that statistical information from but personally I’m not broke and I believe the same thing applies to my colleagues. I’ve a first degree, doing music and making enough money from it as well. So how…?”, he quizzed.
Besides, King Promise who’s signed under Legacy Life Entertainment is currently promoting his new song dubbed “CCTV” which he featured Sarkodie and Mugeez.
