Contemporary urban gospel music artist John Oppong Incoom, popularly known as Jonnwinner has appealed to the organizers of the annual concert “Ghana Meets Naija” to have a gospel edition.
Speaking on e.TV Ghana’s entertainment show, The Late Nite Celebrity Show, with Foster Romanus, he said.
“I pray that we will have a Gospel edition of Ghana meets Naija. So we are pleading with the event organizers and the corporate bodies. They know that we can give people value for the money they pay to get us on their stages to perform.”
According to him, the biggest challenge for gospel musicians is the support from the media and investors.
“That is the only challenge we are having, we need a lot of platforms, we need a lot of exposure. We need people who will believe in what we are doing and support us. You know, we are looking for people that will setup record labels to hold the gospel industry. We are looking for investors, we are looking for people who will buy in our vision.”
Jonn has a new project called the African Praise and Worship Invasion 1, twelve out of fifteen songs that will be featured on this album are ready. He is about to release a track with the Highly Spiritual Record label owned by Kaywa
