Ghanaian living music legend Rex Omar has revealed that musicians who want to benefit from band music in the music industry should forget it.
The Ghana Music Right Organization (GHAMRO) Chairman, Rex Omar explained that very few people pay for events these days.
Responding to a question on Happy FM Showbiz Xtra with Doctar Cann, he indicated, “You will run at a loss big time. Look, very few people are ready to pay for shows. Everyone who knows much about events will tell you the truth that if you want to organize an event in Ghana and you want to rely on gate fee to as your profit then you don’t know what you are doing.”
According to Rex Omar, events organized in Ghana without sponsorship have failed before it began.
“Sponsorship must break even. Even if you are depending on sponsorship to produce that show, and it doesn’t go your favor, then it is already a flop,” he said.
