Ace Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has weighed in on the change of name for the Ghana Movie Industry.
Adjetey who is popularly known in a TV series “Things we do for love” as ‘Pusher’ on The Late Nite Celebrity Show expressed his views on the name that was given to the Ghana Movie Industry.
According to Adjetey a name for the Ghana Movie Industry is not necessary today what is important now is creating of content can identify us as Ghanaians.
Speaking to Foster Romans he said, “Content is key for me it is not even the name, you can give it all the names in the whole world, even the best names but if you are lucking content it is still not gonna be recognized.”
He stated that “what we should brand is our content, that identifies us as a people, as Ghanaians, as African if you like. The quality of that for me should stand out first, names can come after.”
Adjetey stressed that if a name is to be given to the industry it should be well informed and it should be something that is connected to the Ghanaian history or story.
