Hip-hop artiste Flexy brave hearted has given his view on why some musicians seem disrespectful and pompous.
In an interview on Ghana’s award-winning TV talk show, ‘The Late Nite Celebrity Show’, he said, “Every good song is a potential hit song depending on how you push it, there are many songs sitting ideal in rooms, they are not being pushed, so promotion is very key and it takes a lot of time and money, trust me.
I know people who have shot videos that are still in the room; none of the videos have come out. Our job is not an easy task, that is why sometimes out of frustration, you see some of the artistes misbehaving, but it’s not them, they’ve been through something.”
“Sometimes someone would say they are proud and disrespectful, they have probably met that person before and sought for some help from them, but they were ignored. So if you ignore me and I make it, now you want me to salute you? No way,” he added.
He implored that these musicians are not blamed for their actions and inactions. “So sometimes when you meet some of them and they seem pompous, don’t blame them, because they have suffered, especially here in Ghana, we don’t help,” he appealed.
Flexy who has Togo parents said it is a little easier to get assistance in the music industry in Togo than it is in Ghana.
