Our actors and actresses portray extravagant lifestyles, which they claim they can afford with their earnings as actors and actresses. Acting is what we know them for, so we tend to believe that, but actress Adu Sarfowaa has debunked that perception.
According to the actress, most of her colleagues who show their designer clothing and flashy cars do not cater for those with their acting earnings.
“The people in this industry portray extravagant lifestyles and they say they got all they spend on that lifestyle from acting and shooting commercials. Most of them are not true,” Sarfowaa disclosed.
Celebrated movie producer and director Shirley Frimpong Manso a year ago cautioned the general public not be swayed by the glamorous lifestyles of entertainment personalities warning that some are fake.
“It is not as glamorous as it seems so a lot of you out there sitting around and watching all these videos on social media with people standing by some cars and driving these flashy cars; it is not that glamorous, trust me,” she said
“Some of them [flashy things] have not been paid for. If you stay on social media for too long, you will properly kill yourself. It is not that glamorous. Showbiz means that you properly need to make a showy.” she added.
Are these lifestyles fake or do they have other sources of income used to cater for the extravagance?
