Educationist and Managerial Psychologist, Josephine Adedipe, has stated that going to Cgurch doesn’t make one a Christian.
According to her, Christianity is a lifestyle and going to church is not enough. Hence, being a Christian should be visible in all aspects of life “and seen in our families as well.”
“You’re going to church to learn things which must be practiced at home. The Bible says by their fruits we’ll know them so it’s not just going to church to occupy space. Church is not a social activity. Your lifestyle must exhibit Christ,” she said.
Talking to Paul Anomah Kordieh on e.TV Ghana’s Christian Connect show, she said as a Christian family, the foundation of your life must be Christ.
“Psalm 11:3 says if the foundation is destroyed what can the righteous do? And because we’re temples of God, wherever we go, we carry Christ with us so it’s not just in the Church. When we gather, when you go to work, at home and wherever you find yourself, Christ must be relevant and reflective in your behavior” she said.
Madam Adedipe added that, the culture of a Christian home is the fruit of the Spirit. ‘The Bible says the fruit of the spirit is love and God is love. Everything that follows is love and this is the kind of love that should be seen in our Christian homes.”
“It is no longer about you but about the others. Everyone is expected to have this kind of love because the Bible says the love of God is shared abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,” she said.
She believes that, this love should be seen in everything Christians do, including the way “you think, behave and everything else that has to do with. This matters because everything is God centered.”
